AMGEN TOUR OF CALIFORNIA - MAY 16 -23, 2010

As America's most successful cycling race, the Amgen Tour of California is one of the nation's largest and most recognized annual sporting events.  An eight-day event, this prestigious cycling road race features elite professional teams and athletes from around the world.  One of the only American races listed on the international professional cycling calendar the AMGEN Tour of California awards important, world-ranking points to the top finishers.  The race will bring the drama and excitement of professional cycling to California for the fifth consecutive year. 

The race will showcase 750 miles of scenic California roadways.  The 16 host cities include:

Nevada City **  Sacramento ** Davis ** Santa Rosa ** San Francisco Santa Cruz ** San Jose ** Modesto ** Visalia ** Bakersfield ** Pasadena Big Bear Lake ** Los Angeles ** Thousand Oaks/Westlake Village **  Agoura Hills

Stage 8: Sunday, May 23 - Thousand Oaks/Westlake Village/Agoura Hills - this is the final stage of the race and it will end in our just minutes from the Holiday Inn Woodland Hills!!!   

The official announcement for the Tour reports Armstrong and Leipheimer, both members fo the newly formed Team RadioShack, are committed to participating in the race. Other top cyclists who confirmed that they'll race include Hincapie of BMC Racing and Zabriskie of Garmin-Slipstream. 

The Overall Finish of the Tour of California will end in our backyard!
